Geek rock, the "new sound"

this fella, jonathan coulton, has been popping up on the internet all
week and it's really starting to get the best of me. maybe i should
know better than to get inflamed by oblivious special interest pieces
like this but...i can't help it.

the apparent 'godfather of geek rock' was probably the most prominent headline on yahoo! news on monday...and he's still there today! anyway, he's an IT man turned musician writing silly songs about being an ex-code monkey and giving them away for freeeee! that's fluff with three capital F's!
