Many Rivers to Cross - Jimmy Cliff (1972)

There's too much to choose from this week: The Staples Singers, Peter Sarstedt, This Heat, Nico Muhly, the new These Are Powers record...I've hit a pretty good stride here, I guess. Many exceptional finds--both old and new--in the past month or so.

So the final decision is Jimmy Cliff. We've all heard this song covered myriad times but the original is so fragile and pure and transcendent. Have a lovely Thursday.
