I suppose it's the fate of every blog to have a post about Chinese Democracy sooner or later. I'll just get mine out of the way today.Crazy and ugly as ever, Axl was almost ready to deliver on his promised GNR return (and take us all by surprise) when Kevin Cogill leaked the first nine tracks. Cogill was subsequently arrested by the feds which is interesting but the true overriding theme here is the desperation in the Axl Rose camp.
I know this is difficult to qualify but...i posit this: is it possible that Mr. Cogill is responsible for leaking the simultaneously most highly-anticipated and most musically insubstantial album in the history of the world thus far? I haven't heard the music yet (the word 'yet'...does that mean i plan on hearing it?) but i have a sneaking suspicion it may very well be true.
