The Strokes - Alone Together

So, yeah, I am doing it.

There is nothing wrong with posting a Strokes song, because they do rock my jock pretty hard, but it is kind of a safe play I will admit. They are kind of like going with that really worn-in pair of banana hammocks when you probably should buy a new pair (or panties if you are on the female side of life, or if you just like wearing women's undergarments).

So all that being said.... here we go.

I was taking a little jog the other day when the said Strokes song came on my player. I had not listened to 'Is This It' in a long while and I had forgotten how much I enjoyed this song. I really encourage you to listen to the tasty bass rift on the choruses. I really dig Nikolai Fraiture's bass work on this song and think his simple-yet-satisfying rift is so perfect. Every time I hear it it makes me want to crawl up the neck of my air-bass and twiddle my fingers like I actually know how to play (word-to-your-mom-bendy)
Aside from the great bass smackin', I really like the recording quality of this album verses the other two Strokes records. I like that it is raw and raspy. I especially love the sound of the snare drum on both the album, and this song.

I am glad this song popped up on my player, and I apologize to The Strokes for having neglected their first album for some time (...like they really care....)
